Walking on the Street
This work aims to present the formalism that happened in China oriented by the Chinese government (viz. Chinese government tends to implement actions that appear to be great formally but bear no significance intrinsically). I created four videos by wearing a green screen jumpsuit to do many absurd and comical performances. In this way, I aim to show to my audiences the different aspects of the world that I see and am suspicious of. Audience interaction with the installation is made possible in this work and is meant to be a ritual of enlightenment- acquiring a new perspective. I am questioning the need for such behavior and its impact on the people. It may be difficult to unmask the world completely, but we can get an idea of who is in charge and who creates the illusion through these clues.
