Qianyu Fu is a multidisciplinary artist who started practicing in China and continued as she moved to Chicago. She uses sculpture, installation, photography, and film to explore themes about the definition of home, identity, and the perception of truth in social-political contexts. In the attempt to grasp how living in different cultural contexts affects her awareness of truth, Qianyu’s current work engages with construction materials and found objects by assembling objects with replicas to question the precarity of contemporary human existence.
